As the Logistics Analyst you will play a crucial role in analyzing and improving our domestic and international transportation processes. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that contribute to the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance of our global transportation network.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to our global logistics and transportation operations.
Create and utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Generate reports and present findings to support data-driven decision-making.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for global logistics activities.
Monitor KPIs to assess performance, identify deviations from targets, and recommend corrective actions.
Continuously improve the measurement and reporting of logistics performance.
Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Support the development and implementation of new ERP system as it relates to EDI transactions and timing with carrier partners.
Partner with third party freight auditing company and accounting to ensure carrier partners are paid within agreed payment terms.
Work hand in hand with customer service/order management team to ensure best practice and carrier selection is utilized. Approving and documenting expedited freight as needed.
Assist with domestic and international carrier management (parcel, LTL, FTL, air and ocean).
Coordinate international shipments via ocean/air by preparing required import/export documents.
Identify and establish freight shipping procedures based on weight and transit times.
Manage claims, tracers, and communication with carrier partners. Provide supporting customs documents as needed to clear stuck shipments.
Reviews FedEx LTL and small parcel audits, codes exceptions for payment.
Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Topps product portfolio and release calendar.
Escalate shipment prioritization with copackers.
Provides proof of delivery or tracking #’s as needed.
Additional duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, with a focus on international operations.
Proficiency in data analytics tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI (or similar), and other data visualization tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Understanding of international trade regulations and logistics.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to self-manage time and performance against deadlines.
Detail oriented and organized.
Experience with Oracle EBS/Oracle Fusion Cloud is a plus.
