Develop features and perform project tasks in own areas. Responsible for own code quality, review, testing, troubleshooting, debugging activities in own area. Lead development activities of small/medium complexity features. Support peers in completing feature tasks. Feature Owner/Engineer for small/medium complexity features. Participates and contributes to requirements and design review.
The R&D engineer will initially contribute to Nokia Spectrum Management Service – a foundational element of the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) solution providing cutting-edge spectrum management technologies built using the latest cloud technologies. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to develop an in-depth understanding of new wireless networking and standards and implement them in the context of the spectrum management solution. You will work closely with the team leader and other members of the multi-location team to design and implement the technology components, integrate them with the rest of the software systems and end-to-end service, and help them get to a deployment-ready state in our CI/CD environment. In addition to traditional software development, you are expected to be open to learning and using the state-of-the-art cloud, database, analytics, deep learning, and streaming technologies in our implementation platform.
Knowledge & Experience
Master's degree in Computer science, networking, wireless networking communications, cloud, engineering, or other relevant fields. Experience in software development in the wired or wireless communication field in an industry or research lab setting will be a big plus.
