The Senior Director, Global Business Advisory, is a key member of the Customer Group organization, advising on cross-functional business strategies including but not limited to Brand, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Strategy, Digital, Loyalty, and enterprise transformation strategies. The Senior Director will have a particular focus on the Marriott Strategy Map initiatives, while also providing advisory services to the broader organization on complex platforms and projects, as deemed necessary.
Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions, a proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, as well as a willingness to be tested on difficult transformation projects and initiatives. Functions as an Advisor and/or Project Leader on major Marriott initiatives and programs such as projects to drive revenue generation initiatives, strengthen customer loyalty and evolve emerging businesses. Provides strategic initiative leadership while also advising on strategic execution.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
• 10+ years’ experience in strategy development, brand management, marketing strategy or product management AND
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major OR
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
• Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.
Education and Experience Preferred
• MBA or equivalent
• Lodging / hospitality industry experience
