OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:
This position is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large social catering related opportunities which hold significant revenue potential. Manages catering opportunities not handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC). Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize the revenue for each and every opportunity. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion and guarantees a proper service delivery for every internal and external customer. Responsible for driving customer/guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer/guest experience.
Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders) and promotes awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximise revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Assist the management team to develop, implement and execute the revenue, revenue and marketing programs for weddings & special occasions. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g. commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.
