OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:
Guest Experience Management: Ensure all guests are welcomed with a smile and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Supervise the implementation of the JW Marriott welcome experience, including offering welcome drinks or cold towels, and ensuring guests are escorted to their rooms or elevators.
Operational Knowledge and Training: Stay informed about daily hotel operations, including events, changes, and new procedures. Attend shift briefings, training sessions, and monthly meetings. Facilitate on-the-job training for new associates and conduct hospitality audits for front desk associates.
Front Desk Operations: Oversee efficient check-in and departure procedures for guests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand standards. Assign rooms and accommodate special requests as much as possible. Handle reservations according to correct procedures and be flexible according to business needs.
Customer Service and Communication: Maintain knowledge of hotel rates, packages, discounts, and services provided. Communicate effectively with guests regarding credit policies, procedures, and any special requests or problems using the Guest Response Program. Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and provide guests with requested information about the city and local attractions.
Compliance and Professionalism: Adhere to Marriott brand standards, safety, and emergency procedures. Follow daily banking procedures accurately. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to management promptly. Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure personal appearance conforms to standards.
