Permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £23,114 per annum (Grade C) | Kings Lynn

About us: Marshfields is a short break home which provides emergency and time limited specialist care for young people of either gender aged between 5-17 years with complex needs, where either family, foster care, or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.   

The role: We are looking for a cook to join our wonderful team. Marshfields has a domestic style kitchen. The Cook’s role is to provide children with nutritional well-balanced meals. This role also requires the cook to be imaginative and creative in their menus and choice of food and ensure they contribute to the homely feel environment.

“My role as a Residential Children’s Practitioner involves supporting young people’s development and ensuring best individualised care for each person.           You will: 

  • Have experience of operating domestic and commercial catering equipment 
  • Have experience planning meals, budgeting and purchasing produce. 
  • Have awareness of health and safety issues 
  • Be passionate about cooking nutritious meals 
  • Ideally have experience of working with children 
  • Have a full driving licence and access to a car
