Norfolk fire and rescue service are looking for an innovative and capable individual to take on the role of workforce planning and competence manager. The successful candidate will help us to prevent fires and other emergencies, protect people, buildings and the environment, and respond to emergencies by delivering our workforce strategy . Primarily, this will involve
- Developing and managing systems to put the right people in the right place with the right skills
- Working with internal partners to build a system which understands our workforce needs and demographics
- Planning for workforce sufficiency including succession planning and recruitment processes
- Mapping out core skills for the whole workforce and helping our training and development manager plan their department's activity
- Understanding sector best practice in developing our workforce planning model
