Do you have a passion for organisational development (OD)? Do you have expertise in project programme management of multiple projects in a large diverse public sector organisation? Are you an experienced HR team leader who can engage and motivate a team of skilled HR practitioners?
Can you provide diagnostics, insight and professional advice on OD strategies and good project management practices to managers and HR colleagues across Council services?
The People Projects team provides HR project workstream management, change support and guidance to Council managers to enable the successful delivery of a range of medium to large continuous improvement projects and programmes, working in close partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a team manager who has a sound understanding of organisational development theory and practice, along with solid project programme management skills, to manage the HR People Project Team.
You will have primary responsibility for successful delivery of HR programme outcomes, including the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, and ensuring the business readiness for change. You will be expected to contribute to, and sometimes lead, the development of OD change interventions, good practice standards, process mapping along with project delivery and reporting templates.
Reporting to the Assistant Director OE, Workforce and Talent, the ideal team manager will have a can-do approach, who is a self-starter, able to manage a complex workload and work collaboratively within the wider HR team.
