The Document Domain is on an exciting journey to modernize it applications. The applications will be migrating from PCF to Google Cloud. This is a great opportunity to develop a cloud native skillset leveraging the new technology stack from Google Cloud - Pub Sub, Cloud Run, SRE pipelines, Google Cloud Storage, Containerization and more.
This is a hybrid role out of Dearborn, MI!
What you'll do…
- Design, develop, and build end-to-end solutions for Ford Credit’s Document Domain.
- Utilize analytical skills to meet reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
- Develop prototypes to validate interactions and prove product designs.
- Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and other software engineers on the team.
- Engage in technical design reviews, code reviews, and product demos.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create solutions.
- Assist with source code maintenance, application builds, and code releases.
- Production Support on a rotational basis.
You'll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required.
- 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot or related programming language development.
- 5+ years of REST API or related development.
- 4+ years of development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 & WAS Liberty.
Even better if you have…
- Use DevOps tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, CheckMarx, Fossa, and GitHub to deploy, improve and manage software.
- Leverage Dynatrace and Splunk to monitor system performance and assess production incidents.
- Expertise with RDBMS -Postgres, Oracle & SQL server, Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design & Behavior Driven Development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and planning skills.
- Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development.
- Cloud Computing/Infrastructure Experience (Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with Cloud Run, PubSub, Google Cloud Storage and Cloud Functions.
- Containerization development.
- Prior Ford Credit Experience.
- Knowledge of Ford Credit Document Domain.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8.
