In this position...
- Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
- Lead supplier commercial negotiations.
- Manage supplier RFIs, RFQs, and Commercial Agreements.
What you'll do...
- Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, tooling, and services.
- Approve Purchase Orders for Prototype, production, services, etc.
- Assist in the resolution of cost, quality, and delivery issues affecting the supply.
- Work with other Buyers in both Service and Production to develop strategies and implement solutions.
- Identify and implement cost reductions.
- Negotiate cost avoidances for suppliers requesting cost increases.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.
- Expedite launches and critical programs.
- Ensure supplier adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions.
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, and/or sourcing experience.
- Previous Purchasing experience with electrical, mechanical, or physical components.
- Project Management skills and process discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Word and Excel; Access skills a plus.
- Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership.
- Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally.
- Comfortable dealing with internal and external conflicts.

- Experience with eMotors, invertors, or vehicle electrification.
