In this position...
Position requires development, enhancements, maintenance and modernization of the GLAS (Global Lending Analysis System) application at Ford Credit. This system is a dealer lending platform that automates the process of creating dealer credit ratings across the globe and facilitates credit package creation and approval process for wholesale lines, dealers loans etc. The system is also used for ongoing risk monitoring and mitigation action documentation.
What you'll do...
Perform Full stack development ranging from native mobile, to web, to server-side engineering. Leverage modern frameworks, open source tools, and cloud technologies to develop software effectively through paired programming and other methodologies like test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment. Develop working, tested code across the full stack of technologies. Build distributed, service-oriented, cloud micro service-based architectures. Develop components across all tiers of the application stack, integrate and deploy developed software, and modify CI/CD pipeline and scripts as vital to improve continuous integration practices. Identify minimal viable product and decompose features by story slicing. Identify inter-team dependencies, and ensure that team dependencies are met in timely fashion. Ensure functional and non-functional quality and on-time delivery using agile and lean principles, embrace extreme programming practices including paired development, test driven development, and continuous delivery to release early and often, and collaborate and work closely together with a balanced team of developers.
Use Agile programming practices such as pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), cloud native technology such as PCF, Angular, J2EE, Spring boot, JSF, Primefaces and Linux. Work on databases like SQL Server, MongoDB, Oracle, DB2, and front-end technologies such as Java Script, Servlets, HTML, CSS. Must have experience with web service development using SOAP or Restful service. Upcoming work includes GCP migration of the system currently on PCF.
The candidate should be highly motivated, be a self-starter, results oriented, and willing to learn new technologies/skillsets as and when required. Good communication skills to interact with business customers
Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills with commitment to quality and project timelines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work individually and/or with a team.
You'll have...
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience: developing object-oriented software or web applications using Java, SQL, J2EE, and Junits; and delivering software applications in an Agile environment.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated.
- Requires 3 years of experience: managing deployments in cloud migrations; deploying, supporting, and triaging microservices deployed to cloud GCP or Pivotal Cloud Foundry; conducting system integration, validation, verification, and automated testing; performing user interface development using Javascript or Angular; and designing and developing DevOps CI/CD.
