This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of Power BI solutions, including data modeling, report generation, and performance optimization. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors, providing technical expertise, and ensuring alignment to standard methodologies. This includes support for all aspects of the Power BI cloud platform, development standards, and general Power BI roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Power BI Platform Maintenance
  • Maintain and improve Power BI development standards and best practices
  • Configure and maintain data sources, gateways, data sets and data refresh schedules in the PBI service
  • Provide expert input into bi strategic roadmap
• Power BI Development
  • Implement end-to-end Power BI solutions based on provided architectural designs and requirements
  • Develop data models, ETL processes, reports, and dashboards to address business needs
  • Optimize report performance and scalability
  • Guide with vendor engagements
• Collaboration with business teams and vendors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business collaborators, data engineers, and database administrators, to understand requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical collaborators
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
  • Provide domain expertise and oversight to vendor engagements
• Support and Best Practices
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to technical support staff
  • Provide periodic updates to project leaders and managers on status of activities

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant IT experience
• 5+ years Developing within Power BI Platform
• Solid experience as a Power BI Engineer
• CONFIRMED HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH POWER BI ADMINISTRATION AND DEVELOPMENT 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering high quality solutions
• A passion for staying up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices
• A very positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level regardless of the complexity of delivery

Preferred:

• Experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Power Bi Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Automate, PowerShell
• Global experience both from working with global business units and leading international delivery teams in matrixed organizations
• Ability to mentor and guide teams
• Experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies with a good working understanding of both Jira and Confluence.
• A strong understanding of business transformation, agile software development and change
