Role: Sr. Software EngineerLocation: Bay Area, CA; Austin, TX, or Bridgewater, NJ area ideal. Will also look at Dallas or other parts of NJ. As a member of the Customer Success Services (CSS) organization, you will deliver innovative solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving technical questions regarding the use of Oracle PaaS Services. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
You will work with a team responsible for the software design, development, and operations for our new and existing products. You should understand system architecture, be firsthand, and be able to dive deep into any part of the stack. You should value simplicity and work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and knowledge to infuse a culture of being initiative-taking within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.

Preferred Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software development
- Able to write great code using one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C, C++
- Good working experience with the full software development lifecycle
- Systematic problem-solving approach, attention to the detail, a sense of ownership, and learning drive.
- Ability to travel at least 30% to customer locations and internal sessions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Firsthand experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., Oracle, AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), PL/SQL, Linux internals, Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills, Computer Networking (OSI layers, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Routers, Gateways, Subnets, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI concepts and tools
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as appropriate.
- Passion for learning new and unfamiliar concepts.
- Comfortable working with customers in person, by phone and via email.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
