Summary

Our team is looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable Senior Account Manager to join us in our London office to lead global market initiative with an innovative travel client. In this role, you will provide business, strategic and executional leadership across all brand efforts, with a focus on operational excellence.

Our London hub is leading Expedia Group in a complex set of projects and works in close collaboration with our Los Angles hub, clients, and agency partners around the globe. This role presents the unique opportunity of working alongside the best talent within the entire Omnicom network. You will act as connective tissue between the client and agencies within our network to bring projects to life. 

The Senior Account Manager will be reporting into the Global Account Director and will work closely with the Senior Project Management team. There is also an opportunity to continue to grow the Account Management team under the Senior Account Manager leadership. 

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for fostering client relationships, driving the future vision, planning, and overseeing execution of all projects. In this role, you will serve as key leader to provide direction across global projects of different nature: from bespoke to localization, to brand, design, product launch, social, etc.

This being a new client relationship, the Senior Account Manager will be key in establishing systematic ways of working, driving operational efficiencies, and helping us bring a new and unique agency-client relationship model to life.

The day-to-day responsibilities include leading all client relationships, streamlining communications to hub and local teams, briefing creative and content curation teams (for example, Business Affairs, the Photo team, and so on); driving seamless communications across global teams; aligning with creative development and production schedules, presentations, and approval processes; and troubleshooting to create a smooth workflow for the cross-functional teams involved.

The Work

  • We lead teams that partner closely with Executive Leadership, Brand Integration, Integrated Production, Channel Leads, Creative, Design and Agency partners.
  • We deliver new approaches to the planning, development, and execution of communications in our given brand or area expertise, including working to develop process, structure and staffing, resources, and external support. 
  • We enthusiastically build rapport and credibility across departments in a highly complex client organisation.  
  • We demonstrate creativity in problem solving, dynamic and unconventional thinking, and quick adaptation to new challenges.  
  • We oversee projects of different nature to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.
  • We act as leaders within the Agency Group to provide creative solutions across many categories, including product launch support, social campaigns, seasonal campaigns, roadmap planning, and platform development. 
  • We work with key global partner Agencies to ensure alignment on key initiatives.  
  • You will be a leader, inspiring the rest of the team to grow, develop, and create extraordinary work.

Key qualifications

  • You have proven experience working on global brands, preferably at a creatively driven ad agency or in-house marketing communications department.
  • You can deliver marketing communication goals, and you are able to prioritise efforts based on business need. 
  • You have superlative written and verbal skills as well as excellent presentation skills. 
  • You are self-motivated, proactive, and flexible with strong interpersonal skills.  
  • You are inquisitive and team oriented, with the ability and vision to define the day-to-day aspects of your primary role while keeping focus on its larger goals.
  • You are a problem solver, someone who is not afraid to ask questions and hold clients accountable and can connect the dots quickly.
  • You have shown ability to actively build rapport, credibility, and influence and to make things happen throughout a highly matrixed organisation.
  • You keep integration and collaboration top of mind.
  • You can balance working in a fast-paced, creatively driven organisation with an analytical and focused approach to marketing. 
  • You are deeply organized and have rigorous attention to detail.
  • You are resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results oriented with high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to contribute in a team environment.
