Are you passionate about providing a customer focused IT and desktop support service to users across a multi-site business?
Are you looking to continue to increase your knowledge and experience across all aspects of IT? Look no further than Valeo Foods UK, where we craft beloved confectionary brands. We're seeking a talented IT Support Technician to join our growing team, based in Blackpool on a full time, permanent basis.
As a IT Support Technician, you’ll provide technical assistance and support to our employees across various departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.
- Support the production of network and systems documentation.
- Maintain shared database of support calls and requests.
- Enforce all statutory and legal requirements.
- Provide user support as required, for both infrastructure and desktop related issues.
- Provide a professional, pro-active, service-orientated IT presence.
- Liaise, where necessary, with suppliers and contractors to support the wider business.
- Work to maintain the current network infrastructure.
- Ensure rapid response and resolution to network service degradation and failures.
- Build and maintain PC’s to meet business needs.
- Provide ongoing support of bespoke and off-the-shelf desktop applications to the wider business.
Qualifications

- Personable, with a customer service-based approach to support duties.
- Good communicator.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Practical experience with network operations.
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Practical experience supporting telecoms (both traditional and digital) systems.
- Development of close working relationships with office and remote staff.
