Look no further than Valeo Foods UK, based in Pontefract, where we craft beloved confectionary brands. We're seeking a talented Demand Planner to join our Integrated Business Planning team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
As a Demand Planner, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our forecasting activities for a defined set of customers and products. Working closely with Commercial and SOP teams, you'll create and maintain forecast models, monitor sales trends, and collaborate with key customers to optimize inbound supply. Your insights and analysis will drive informed decision-making as part of our Integrated Business Planning process, ultimately enhancing customer service levels and contributing to our overall business success.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Commercial to maintain timely and accurate forecasts for a portfolio of SKUs and customers.
Analyse historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and develop statistical forecast models.
Establish close working relationships with key customers to improve forecast accuracy and optimize inbound supply.
Participate in Integrated Business Planning meetings, providing demand projections and contributing to decision-making.
Monitor trends and promotional volumes, making adjustments and recommendations as needed.
Maximize customer service levels through effective liaison with production planning teams.
Provide input to Supply Planning on inventory strategies for existing items and new products.
Maintain integrity of demand planning systems and software.
Prepare and maintain relevant reports and KPIs related to demand planning process.
Qualifications
Personal Attributes:
Strong Analytical Skills / Numerate
Excellent Communication and Facilitation Skills
Ability to Work with Large Amounts of Complex Data
Experience and Qualifications:
Work experience in a supply chain planning environment.
Experience in FMCG supply chain preferred.
Broad knowledge of forecasting, product distribution, and inventory control.
Good IT skills, including advanced Excel.
Maths or Business qualifications an advantage.
Travel to customers' offices required.
