Job Description
This is a 12-month FTC.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial performance and strategic decision-making processes of the Liverpool manufacturing site. Collaborating closely with operational teams, you will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall financial success.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in Waste and Labour Efficiency
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with site leadership to develop annual budgets and forecasts
Monitor performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions
Cost Management:
Partner with operational teams to manage and control manufacturing costs effectively
Identify cost-saving initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects
Financial Planning and Strategy:
Work closely with site managers to align financial plans with overall business strategies
Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business development
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Establish strong working relationships with operational and functional leaders
Act as a liaison between finance and operations, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach
Risk Management:
Identify financial risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Essential:
Financial background within a food manufacturing environment is essential
Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with intent to continue and complete study
Strong IT skills, particularly XL and use of accounting systems (Valeo Confectionery on Sage, Valeo Snacks on IFS)
Full UK driving licence for occasions when travel to other sites is required

Ability to work under pressure and with efficiency and speed whilst maintaining accuracy, working to a strict financial timetable
Positive/can do and flexible approach and ability to deal positively with change
Logical thinking and ability to connect financial reporting/analysis outcome with reality of business processes and changes
