Job Description
Provide leadership, direction and governance to our QMS across the group to ensure a consistent approach.
Ensure the QMS is aligned to and compliant with BRC, customer expectations, legislation, company policies and industry standards.
Support and ensure the sites are aware of and adhere to all customer policies, codes of practice and industry certification.
Support the business in driving continuous improvement and managing our greatest risks by continuously challenging and validating our systems and processes.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure our central QMS is maintained and evolved in line with Customer and BRC requirements, industry and technical advances.
Embed risk assessment into our QMS.
Provide support to the site teams to ensure effective implementation of our QMS and compliance to customer policies, codes of practice and requirements.
Defines a single process for the management of all documentation used within the business
Responsible for all Quality related Policies, and ensures sufficient control and issue to the business.
Complete regular retailer gap analysis to update the QMS as and when required and highlight to the business where significant changes have been identified.
Works to align all QMS documents across all manufacturing sites to create one approach to QMS.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Support the site teams during customer visits & audits of a technical nature to ensure a successful outcome.
Provide expertise and guidance on customer standards and requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications and knowledge
Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline.
Min 5 years’ experience in FMCG or similar environment, and with experience of managing teams
HACCP Level 3 qualification
Experience in retailer quality systems
BRC Compliance and audits aware.
Project management skills
Qualities and Experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Great at building relationships internally and externally
Knowledge of effective structures and team dynamics and training and development needs
Up to date knowledge of technical advances and the changing consumer landscape.
Passionate about helping people to be the best they can and experience in coaching and developing people
Diligent and attention to detail focused

A drive to succeed
Organized and able to both multi-task and prioritize effectively
