Summary

Specialist Packaging ManagementThe Specialist Packaging Management as a member of packaging management team will act as the department’s primary point of contact for all internal operations, packaging purchases, inventory analysis, and reporting of department financials/metrics. This role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and evolving internal processes and operations, making decisions that ensure maximum efficiency and margin.

Position Summary The Specialist Packaging Management as a member of packaging management team will act as the department’s primary point of contact for all internal operations, packaging purchases, inventory analysis, and reporting of department financials/metrics. This role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and evolving internal processes and operations, making decisions that ensure maximum efficiency and margin.

 

Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesINVENTORY/ORDER FLOW MANAGEMENT• Manage sales orders, purchase orders, and transact packaging inventory through Microsoft AX packaging procurement database, related systems and printer portals• Oversee and manage the planning and operations of numerous projects supporting rebranding projects, focused on management and communication of inventory levels between retailer, supplier, and warehouse. • Use all available systems to monitor orders for correct items, quantities, prices, and delivery dates for products. Create and implement plan to resolve any issues quickly, keeping all teams informed of status. • Acts quickly to resolve all order issues and ensure relevant teams are informed of plan and expected “correction” date(s) • Responsible to deliver all orders at high quality standards, on schedule, and within determined budget. • Develop full scale project plans to include the definition of project scope, goals & deliverables. Includes: Management and communication of project requirements, forecasting resource needs and timing, gaining alignment with project stakeholders, management of execution, and delivering results. • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables. • Resolve problems as they surface & recommend solutions, escalating problems to senior levels when necessary.• Identify and manage obsolete inventory on a monthly basis

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT• Manages multiple accounts (may differ in size and scope) to drive customer excellence for logistics and inventory levels• Must maintain strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders• Answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers

PROJECT MONITORING & TRACKING • Supports team in efforts to manage and document all aspects of strategic rebranding project. • Track and manages up-to date task status and elevates risks via frequent conversations and relationship building with the project team. • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools • Continually analyze work process(es) to ensure efficient and effective processes are in place and adjust as needed; communicate needs to leadership

COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION• Collaborates with and supports the efforts of project managers overseeing the rebranding/relabeling projects • Work closely with assigned team in communicating product availability and/or any discrepancies• Provides clear communication regarding project status at both product and project level to ensure all stakeholders are aligned & in agreement with plan. This includes the delivery of weekly reporting to track product inventory levels and facilitation of regular meeting cadence. • Lead and maintain strong partnership with clients, coworker and department heads to ensure overall satisfaction. • Work with Design team and Printers to ensure printing consistency• Other duties as assigned 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

 

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job - Travel up to 10%

 

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Supply Chain or Inventory Management 5+Years of experience in professional inventory management experience required on medium to large projects.
