SSAI is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, particularly within the government contracting sector, and will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and ensure compliance with government contracting regulations.
- Manage all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Oversee cash flow management, including billing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and contract requirements, including DCAA and FAR guidelines.
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support decision-making and drive profitability.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and a minimum of 12 years of combined experience in finance and/or leadership roles, with significant exposure to government contracting. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- In-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, including DCAA, FAR, and CAS.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, government officials, and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial management software.
- Ability to develop solutions to complex financial problems.
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar package
