Position Summary: Biomason is seeking a full time Manufacturing Process Engineer, for our laboratory in Bording, Denmark. This position will be a part of our highly valued team in Denmark to support ongoing commercial operations, as well as with our corresponding technical teams in the US for any future new technology transfers from the US to Denmark.
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is primarily responsible for primary process tracking, deviation tracking and reporting, as well as process transfer and optimization for our pilot plant and larger manufacturing systems.
This position reports to the Director, Process Engineering and works collaboratively with R&D, Systems Engineering, and External Parter/Integrator teams.
Responsibilities:
Understand the theory of operation and knowledge of inter-relationships of individual process modules
Track and report deviations and Investigate root cause, drive corrective actions
Develops and optimizes continuous production processes to achieve output, quality and cost goals
Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document and diagram production processes
Identifies process bottlenecks and devise solutions to resolve
Work with systems engineering team to track and analyze data, drive actions
Articulate and implement control strategies to ensure quality of process modules
Executes experiments on pilot-scale equipment to improve processes and troubleshoot production problems
Perform process windowing to determine capabilities, define specifications and routinely audit them
Setup and optimize process flows for yield, cost and operations (cycle time, problem disposition)
Create and maintain SOPs as well as train personnel
Create and maintain documentation to transfer and scale technologies with external manufacturing partners
Own and drive the introduction of new technologies into factory environment
Maintain a safe work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering or similar field
5 - 7 years of direct hands-on experience
Intellectual curiosity to learn and solve problems
Data driven with the ability to synthesize many data streams
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong analytical skills to include experience with JMP, R or similar, DOE, FMEA, SPC
Exceptional knowledge of heavy equipment, production, and general plant practices
Strong technical and process engineering skill set
Able to maintain hybrid work model, remote and on-site
Ability to travel site support for critical start-up and launch trials up to 20% including
Preferred Qualifications:
Over 7 years of experience of direct hands-on experience
Previous experience operating precast equipment or similar machinery
Previous hands-on supervision experience in manufacturing environment
Direct experience with successful tech transfer to production scale
Competencies:
Highly organized and possess excellent attention to detail
Creative, flexible, proactive, punctual, persistent
Self-driven with a track record of networking and successful project completion
Comfortable with a demanding, fast-paced work environment
An excellent communicator, including both written and oral
Physical Requirement:
