ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of an IT Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of our IT systems and infrastructure. They will work with a global tier 2 &3 IT engineering team and triage escalations from global NOC, and support Oracle Linux, Azure, Microsoft Windows, Dell Hardware, VPN, and desktop security. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology environment by ensuring our systems are patched and updated for continued business operations. The IT Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our organization.
This will be an Office Based Role in Denver, CO with potential of hybrid working.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years in IT operations and support
- Strong knowledge of M365, Intune and Conditional Access Policies
- Minimum 3 years familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and task orchestration
- Minimum 3 years experience with IT security principles and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and access control
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Azure), virtualization technologies and cloud platforms
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED
The preferred experience for an IT Engineer will include:
- Experience in Linux and/or Oracle Linux
- Familiarity of SentinelOne EDR, Tenable Vulnerability Scanning Citrix
- Experience in ServiceNow Help Desk System
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
RESPONSIBTILITIES:
The IT Engineer role will cover:
- Design, deploy, and maintain IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, servers and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect data, systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and training to end users
- Install and configure software applications and updates
- Participate in on-call rotation and off-hours support as needed to address critical issues and emergencies
- Office Based Role with potential of hybrid working.
THE DEPARTMENT
The following teams make up the Technology department: Applications Development, Applications Support, and Engineering. The group identifies and develops technological strategies that support GVI’s business goals and objectives to ensure internal and external partners are provided with stable systems. These include: all desktop, network, phone and email systems, Support application, business applications (reservations and operations systems), websites, and Internet access. The technology department is driving the enhancement and implementation of technology to support Globus family of brands as a leader in the global Tourism and Travel industry.
