Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for an Ecological Restoration Designer to assist with our projects in our Maumee, Ohio office!
Key Responsibilities
Strong desire to work in surface water resources, including stormwater system design and improving surface water quality;
Manage ecological projects including tasks associated with field data collection, document preparation and file management;
Lead restoration design planning/layout/permitting;
Mentor less experienced staff;
Help develop plans, details, and specifications for restoration projects;
Provide drafting support using AutoCAD Civil 3D for natural resources design projects;
Conduct surface water and water quality calculations, data analysis, for restoration, green infrastructure, hydraulics/hydrology, and permit applications;
Write and review wetland delineation reports and other technical reports for client and regulatory agency review;
Prepare technical memos and reports;
Contribute to a positive and professional environment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
7+ years’ experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Restoration Ecology, Landscape Architecture; Environmental Studies or similar discipline;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D. ARC-GIS.
Traveling to client sites, which may require occasional overnight and/or extended travel.
Working in the field during all types of weather conditions (hot and cold) as well as in and around lakes, rivers, streams; and industrial facilities.
Fieldwork may include lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
