Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity in our New Jersey/ Newark office for a Building Measurement Surveyor!
This is a great opportunity for travel, to work on a wide variety of building types and to assist a world class architecture firm.
Building Measurement Coordinators assist the Building Measurement team by 3D scanning existing buildings utilizing Leica RTC360 lidar scanners, processing data, photographing, hand-drawing buildings and power plans in the field, coordinating the production of drawings, reviewing final drawings and interfacing with property managers and clients. Building Measurement Services will train the right candidate in the use of 3D lidar scanners.

Building Measurement Surveyor Requirements:

Background in drafting and construction with knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and architectural floor plans.
Ability to hand sketch building environments quickly and accurately.
Has reliable transportation and is flexible to travel weekly to job sites both locally and within a few hours plane flight away. Travel is at least 50 percent of the job.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Lidar scanning and survey experience with Cyclone software and 3D modeling from point clouds preferred, but not required.
