IT Helpdesk Engineer - Part-Time (6 month FTC) at Perkbox

Please note: This role is a part-time position, working on-site from our London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, for a fixed term contract until the end of the year.

As an individual you have the confidence and initiative to perform autonomously with limited guidance. You’re a self-starter and can self learn where required. You’re also self-aware enough to know you may have knowledge gaps but you feel confident enough to ask for assistance when you need it.

You feel comfortable using Macintosh and Windows and have had experience of Google Workspace to the point where you're confident with all but very niche tasks. You’d love to work daily with a wide variety of systems and software, and you can follow written guides and instructions, as well as giving feedback on where they can be improved. 

What you’ll be doing, in a nutshell:

  • Supporting the employees of Perkbox, on a part-time basis, in-office Tuesday-Thursday. 
  • Responding to user queries via Slack, mail or in person in our London office (for both our international and domestic teams)
  • Using our Jira ticketing system to log and respond to user requests.
  • Training staff on various IT activities, software and processes.
  • Building new Mac and Windows machines for deployment to end users using JumpCloud, GSuite and our standard tools.
  • Installing and configuring a wide variety of software.
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving IT hardware and software issues.
  • Identifying network and security problems and escalating as needed.
  • Writing, editing and revising departmental documentation such as technical guides, user facing guides and onboarding guides.
  • Managing systems to update control and audit IT hardware and software, such as Sophos Intercept X or ManageEngine.
  • Managing and configuring our in house AV gear for talks and conferences.
