Role Description:
PJT Partners is seeking to hire a Business Management Associate to support the operations, growth and strategy of PJT’s European business. The global business management team is responsible for business operations, business development, reporting & analysis and business data management. This role will work closely with European senior leadership, providing an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact and dynamic team that partners closely with the global management team based in New York.
Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities include:
- Pipeline Management
- Collect timely and routine information and updates from bankers at all levels
- Manage data in various systems and Excel to produce reporting and ad hoc analyses for firm management
- Assist in projects to advance pipeline management, business reporting and analytics
- Business Management
- Produce both quantitative and qualitative reporting and ad hoc business analysis
- Work with various corporate functions including Finance, Legal, Compliance, HR and IT
- Track and ensure banking teams are following deal administrative processes
- Manage internal team and sector meetings including tracking discussions
- Collect data and produce reporting and analysis around junior banker resources
- Assist with various business management projects and initiatives
- Business Development
- Manage the targeting and focus account process in Europe
- Manage data in various systems and Excel to produce reporting and ad hoc analyses for firm management
- Assist in the management and implementation of a broad range of business development initiatives, including strategic projects to identify new business viability, account coverage and growth opportunities
- Drive collaboration between industry, country and product teams
- Develop a deep understanding of the Strategic Advisory business, products and market
Qualifications:
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization, time and deadline management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate with others as well as work independently and self-motivate
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; both verbally and in writing
- Comfort working and communicating with professionals at all levels
- Strong judgement, discretion and ability to be proactive and show initiative
- Comfort handling highly confidential information
- High level of competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
