Job Descrption
Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
The HR Total Rewards team is responsible for delivering US domestic and global programs that include compensation, mobility, health, pension/retirement, time away from work, wellness, and more to our employees.
As a Total Rewards Compensation Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in being a part of a growing Total Rewards team, as well working to support our key business partners and of course, our employees.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an environment that is constantly growing and evolving and building new ways to do business. For this role, you’ll bring your experiences and ideas for building out job architecture including libraries, performing job analysis and building job descriptions, titling and class harmonization, and equity analysis for base, bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. Your experiences with compensation and merit cycles & benchmarking analysis will be essential to this role.
General Description Duties/Responsibilities
Organizes and/or creates job descriptions for each position in the organization; working with stakeholders to ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents
Works with stakeholders to Interview and survey employees and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job
Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range
Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position and assisting with the compensation cycles
Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales/levels
Prepares and presents summary reports for job analysis and compensation data
Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials
Conducts data and cost analyses to be used in position and program proposals and budgeting
Researches similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company’s existing total rewards jobs, programs or policies
Works with brokers and consultants to create competitive, cost-effective total rewards packages for the organization; facilitates implementations and roll outs of new programs or sunsetting old programs
Conducts focus groups to collect employee feedback on specific issues or topics related to Total Rewards
Plans and communicates preferred compliant methods handling compensation and total rewards data in new or existing systems
Advises management on applicable state, federal and global Total Rewards compensation regulations
Work in a collaborative team environment or lead team or workstreams
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
Two to three years of experience as a compensation analyst
Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
Extensive knowledge of compensation and HR laws, regulations and best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient with Excel including complex formulas and macros and other Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs needed to manage Total Rewards data
Preferred Qualifications
Compensation Certification a plus
Proficiency with Excel
Experience with setting up and administering domestic and global compensation structures and programs
Excellent attention to detail skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work overtime, weekends or to accommodate a different time zone may be needed
Supervisory or experience leading workstreams
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
