Job Description The Events Manager is responsible for developing strategies to strengthen and expand the Ignition community worldwide by hosting live events that encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration. They lead the team responsible for planning and delivering Inductive Automation's participation in Industry events, company events, and the Ignition Community Conference. They work actively with other divisions to support and align our outreach activities to the company’s strategic objectives. This is a full-time position with hybrid and on-site opportunities available.
Responsibilities
Setting objectives for the Events department and monitoring team members’ performance
Achieving optimal results by assigning tasks and projects to the Events team members that maximize each individual’s talents
Fostering the growth of all Event department members through facilitating communication, providing needed resources and training, and opening growth opportunities
Developing and managing the Events & ICC Budget
Working with other divisions, vendors, partners, and community members to plan and deliver the company’s yearly community conference
Organizing engaging in-person and online industry and company events that grow our community
Developing and managing relationships that help grow the footprint of the IA ecosystem
Maximizing the impact of Inductive Automation at industry events
Supporting the Marketing team by hosting live and virtual events that help promote our company and partners
Requirements
2-3 years’ management or leadership experience
5+years’ event planning and management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior customer relationship management skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with occasional travel
