Pension Insurance Corporation is recruiting for a Head of Onboarding to join its Customer Operations function in a newly created appointment.
As Head of Onboarding, you will be responsible for leading the bulk purchase annuity onboarding team, which will include coordinating the team as it provides analysis, planning and implementation support for PIC’s onboarding of bulk purchase annuity schemes.
You will ensure that the team has effective communication, collaboration and coordination across PIC’s business units when assessing, planning and onboarding large/complex schemes, and create the implementation run books to enable onboarding of the large/complex schemes. Your responsibilities will entail:
Leadership and management of the Onboarding Team
Close alignment with all of PIC’s business units to ensure appropriate communication, collaboration and co-ordination
Ensure clear and regular communication to our Business Units regarding the pipeline lookahead of schemes / potential schemes including scheme specific complexities
Ensure regular and timely assessment of scheme complexities with business units including ensuring a feedback loop to our Origination team
Ensure formal scheme ‘do-ability’ assessments are conducted and aligned across all Business Units
Cultivate strong and trusted relationships with all PIC business units
Oversee the production of Implementation Run Books for large/complex schemes and the associated resource and activity planning in each Business Unit
Coordinate the implementation of large and/or complex schemes
Lead the detailed solutionising, planning and delivery of scheme complexities
Working with Origination, Business Units and Enterprise Architecture ensure that complexities such as complex assets or operational capabilities/impacts are identified and addressed
Identify, coordinate and implement key “Day 2” non-BAU items
Ensure close alignment with the change portfolio (risks, dependencies, resource etc.)
Run the pan-business onboarding working group meetings
Create, design and facilitate implementation meetings specific to each deal so as to track and drive scheme onboarding
Requirements
Essential:
BPA (bulk purchase annuities) or on-boarding experience / background
Project Management experience
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the business competently and effectively whilst building rapport
Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a wider team
Operate well under pressure
Desirable:
BPA onboarding experience
Pensions Operations experience
Investments experience
