To lead the restructuring of and management of PIC’s Change Delivery Function.
Work with senior stakeholders to restructure PIC’s Change Delivery function, comprised of business-aligned Change teams (‘squads’, i.e., Investment, Finance, Operations & Regulations, Corporate Functions), and oversee the restructured function.
Develop a change delivery framework and approaches appropriate to the Change Portfolio, Small Change and other business requirements, recognising that different approaches will be required depending on the scope and objectives of individual initiatives. The framework will be aligned to PIC’s the change governance processes.
Manage the Change Delivery team by defining required standards and managing to these, and by allocating resources across Change teams to meet demand as it fluctuates.
Support the Change squads with project initialisation and scoping and escalation of issues and communications with project sponsors and senior stakeholders.
Contribute to the embedding of a business partnering model with PIC functions, establishing a consistent manner of engagement to identify business requirements as they develop. Ensure two-way communication and prioritisation of requirements across the firm.
Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Data, Business Services and other operational teams to ensure alignment in managing BAU requirements alongside change.
Participate in strategic planning in close collaboration with the Strategic Transformation Office (STO) / Portfolio Management Office (PMO), with primary focus on determining requirements for achieving the objectives of the change portfolio.
Work with Enterprise Architecture to ensure the change delivery outcomes align with the overall design and architecture roadmaps, principles and standards.
Manage internal relationships including Finance, Operations, Technology, Investments and Legal to ensure successful change delivery.
Enhance the approach for assessing the impact of programmes/initiatives and the organisations’ readiness for change.
Management of relevant third-party supplier relationships.
Managerial responsibility for setting and overseeing budgets for the Change Delivery team.
Support the COO in understanding and managing inter-dependencies of strategic plans across the broader Operations group with corporate objectives.
Provide leadership across Operations as a senior member of the group.
Requirements
Strong communication skills, especially ability to engage with senior leaders across the company
Knowledge of change delivery methodologies
Experience managing multiple teams in a financial services organisation
Ability to manage multiple priorities across a variety of business areas/domains
Understanding of the components of the operating model (technology, data, process) and how to orchestrate them to deliver changes
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team to deliver results
