To support the Built Environment Team in risk management by overseeing professional advisors throughout the PIC Portfolio.
This role sits within the PIC Capital Investments team who are responsible for developing overall investment strategy and promoting asset diversification into the PIC portfolio. The team works collaboratively across Investments, researching new markets, sectors, and jurisdictions across Long Income, BtR, Debt Origination, Student Accommodation, Senior Living, Affordable Housing and other varied asset classes to provide variety and growth to the PIC Investments portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively collaborate with the Built Environment Team in the identification of the construction risk across the PIC portfolio, ensuring risks are appropriately communicated internally and adequately mitigating these risks, where possible.
Partner with the Built Environment Team to provide support in conducting thorough due diligence and adherence to internal governance standards for investment propositions while facilitating seamless communication with other key stakeholders.
Take ownership of the agreed deliverables of the construction technical advisors (to include programme timelines, risk registers, and project documentation through to contractual exchange) and provide progress updates or escalation to the Built Environment team, as appropriate.
Aggregate and provide reports on metrics derived from collaborative efforts between the Built Environment team and ESG, Credit, and Risk departments, including Contractor Exposure analysis.
Foster strong collaboration across the wider investment team through regular meetings to facilitate information sharing and attend Committees as necessary.
Requirements
Knowledge, experience, skills and abilities (technical competencies)
Strong technical experience in design / contract administration / project management or hold a recognised qualification in construction, real estate or engineering.
Good knowledge of the UK construction market including key regulations and market counter parties and how they apply to financial services
Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence colleagues, peers and external stakeholders.
Capable of effectively managing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
