PMA Technician - El Segundo, CA
As a PMA Technician you will be responsible for the meticulous execution of assembly, testing, tear-down, and inspection of aviation hardware. You will use your expertise to support the development of SkyOS with adherence to FAA regulations, internal quality management systems (AS9100), and other standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly, tear-downs, inspections, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical components as well as other LRUs.
- Assist engineers with the development of electromechanical assemblies and other aircraft parts within our production facility.
- Read and understand manufacturing blueprints, wire diagrams, planning documents, test specifications, and other applicable documents.
- Utilize hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, multimeters, and more to assist with testing and assembly of PMA parts.
- Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with other functions of the manufacturing of aircraft parts as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in an aviation production environment
- Experience with assembly instructions, blueprint reading, and other specifications
- Basic computer skills required: (Windows, MacOS, Excel, Gmail)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working at a startup
- 6+ years of experience in an aviation production environment
- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) process
