To help us meet a surge in demand we need a Video Editor comfortable with assembling recorded footage and CGI into finished marketing films that match the Director’s vision. Ultimately, as a Film and Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story
This can be a fully remote role, but you must be able to work UK office hours of 0900 to 1800 GMT.
Responsibilities
• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
• Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
• Review vision and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Create rough and final cuts and colour corrections
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Consult with Associates from production to post-production process
• Ensure that workflow is flexible... enough to adapt to changing requirements
Requirements
You will have experience, skills and knowledge in the following:
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong showreel portfolio
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
Familiarity with VFX, 3D and compositing
Creative mind and storytelling skills
