 Are you passionate about the newest trends in technology? Do you want to be at the forefront of Long View’s improvement of our cloud management platform solutions? 
We are looking for an analytical and creative DevOps System Consultant for our Data & Dynamics Team to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously innovate Long View’s automation capabilities! This role will be contract at minimum 6 months with the possibility of extension! You will be the part of our Automation Services team and work together to solve complex business problems by using integrated technology and tools. The work you do every day will help shape how cloud management technology is used to service Long View and our clients.

What your role at Long View looks like:

• Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve automation solutions
• Work through client requests to innovate by creating automation
• Gather details from internal and client subject matter experts to enhance automation efforts
• Build and maintain tools, solutions, and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors
• Test our system integrity, implemented designs, application developments, and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed
• Develop frameworks and standards to create consistency in how automation is used across Long View
• Work closely with senior developers and application architects to fulfill requests
• Assist in resolving situations impacting our clients
• Review and analyze code for accuracy and functionality
• Create and implement design plans
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring to Long View:

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Consultant role.
• Experience with the following:
• o Coding
• Working with and managing code repositories
• Mentoring and coaching intermediate and junior developers
• Knowledge of software development, the software development lifecycle, and its associated technologies
• Strong knowledge of the following:
• o JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, and SQL
• o User interfaces
• o Web frameworks
• Repo Migration – on-prem to GitGithubGitlab
• Knowledge of deploying Java Code Libraries and Oracle Databases
• CICD and Automation
• Good communication and time management skills
• Desire and ability to carry a mobile phone for client and/or for Long View Systems support
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience with the following would be assets:
• Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration
• Integrating business systems through message bus technology
• Open-source technologies and cloud services
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related would be an asset
