What You’ll do
As a Systems Administrator you will be working directly under the Senior Network Architect in supporting Rural King Supply systems engineering and automation company wide.
Provide technical leadership in building, troubleshooting and support of technologies within the assigned workspace.
Maintain adherence to organizational change management processes.
Analyze system challenges and identify the best solution to meet company needs and requirements.
Optimize system environments while maintaining quality.
Implement and maintain backups, security, and redundancy strategies.
Identify potential issues and integrate possible solutions utilizing change management practices.
Create and manage custom scripts to increase automation and reduce the need for human interaction.
Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful reporting.
Assist with database management, maintenance, and custom queries.
Standardize and automate processes and monitoring using scripting technologies.
Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff.
Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures.
Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions; oversee the overall backup strategy and daily operations for secure backups and restore testing.
Produce monitoring and reporting solutions to enhance visibility into production environments.

Essential Qualities for Success
5-7 years of relevant work experience showing escalating job responsibilities
Professional or educational experience as an Information Technology Engineer
Interest in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern engineering team.
Designs and implements, configures, and manages solutions within the following systems, products, and services: Microsoft Windows Server Systems, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 & Azure Cloud, Linux Systems, and VMWare.
Manage Active Directory structure, permissions, auditing, and hybrid Azure identity configurations.
AADConnect configuration, management, sync rules, and troubleshooting.
Worked with App registrations and underlying identities, RBAC, Conditional Access Policies, and groups.
Experience with infrastructure, network, database, and security troubleshooting.
Monitors and proactively manages supported products and services to assure their performance, availability, security, and capacity.
Expert knowledge of operating systems and utilities as well as scripting to include Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and Kubernetes
Exposure to Agile, CI/CD, and version control systems using GitHub and Jenkins
Exposure to ITIL processes
Experienced with backup scheduling, testing, and replication particularly with Cohesity.
Familiarity with Duo for IdP and SAML based SSO, managing Duo Central
Handle Pure Storage configurations, including Active Active pod setup, snapshots, and new storage provisioning.
Exposure to managing email systems including mail flow, SPF and DKIM, tracing, and compliance.
Manage EMC Isilon for file storage, SMB and NFS shares, permissions, replication, and reporting.
Exposure to Umbrella for DNS security, Secure Internet Gateway (SIG), and Cisco AnyConnect/Secure Client.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Oracle, and Azure
Experience supporting a retail or 24x7 operation.
Exposure to production system designs including Infrastructure as Code, High Availability, and Performance monitoring.
Physical Requirements
Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
Able to navigate and access all facilities.
Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
Close vision for computer-related tasks.
