Overview

The Arts Access program seeks a reliable, part-time assistant for Summer Maker Space Camps.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing Face to Face, Arts and Technology Maker Space workshops for youth ages 10-17 years old with an emphasis on outreach to:

  • LGBTIQA individuals and their allies
  • Students with and without disabilities
  • Young people in other marginalized groups.
  • Assist with delivering instruction and at times lead Maker Space activities (including planning, implementation, impact assessment, and debriefing). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Maker Space ethos, processes, and implementation
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about diversity/inclusion issues
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn arts and technology skills and processes
  • Familiarity with, knowledge of or willingness to learn skills related to disability studies and support services for people with disabilities

    Advertised Salary

    $17.00 per hour

    Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
