Job Description
The Director of Sales is responsible for growing revenue across the labels business unit. The Director will lead a team of business development professionals that partner with the national sales organization to leverage growth with existing clients as well as identify new clients. The Director should be experienced and successful in developing actionable sales plans based on the ability to assess current and future market opportunities, identify client trends, evaluate platform capacity against market demand and manage sales teams to maximize capacity and profit. Success is this role is heavily measured by achieving new business growth and goals based on revenue, pipeline, and the number of new labels accounts landed, in a predetermined period of time (generally a budget year).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate the BDM and sales teams to support the growing labels business
Collaborate with various groups within the organization from finance, estimating, operations, procurement and sales to help support activities for the business.
Grow the labels sales pipeline by Identifying new customers through cross sell and new business initiatives
Partner with Internal and external marketing resources to promote RRD’s labels offering.
Collaborate and utilize the CRM tool to manage all labels opportunities, as well as identifying current clients who have potential labels solutions needs
Develop strategies to identify and connect with new prospects (lead generation)
Own all business unit sales reporting data and prepare reports for senior management.
Ensure the BDM and sales teams are equipped to successfully navigate labels opportunities through the selling process leading to successful closure and implementation
Keep up-to-date on new products, technical advisement and resource allocation needed to win business in the marketplace
Qualifications
10+ years consultative, B2B sales experience in labels, or related industry
Demonstrated leader of people and teams within a matrix organization
Business & financial acumen
Demonstrate experience in analyzing trends, pricing and competitive programs
Ability to recommend design changes and process improvements to bring value to our products and customer relationships
Understanding of labels specifications & materials
Able to converse fluently at all contact levels within an organization (from Junior to C-level)
Ability to apply market knowledge relative to competition, market share, opportunities, etc. is essential
Effective communicator on email, phone and face-to-face
Label industry, trading card, or print knowledge and experience a plus
Bachelors degree in Business related concentration
Microsoft Office and Google applications proficiency required
Travel: 30-40% On-site at customer/Office/Manufacturing or plant location

The national pay range for this role is $110,900 to $226,500 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package.
