What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Write requirements to design, develop and test specific functions within a vehicle, such as EE or infotainment systems
- Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure seamless integration of these functions into the overall vehicle system. Monitor and troubleshoot function performance issues
- Ensure that all functions meet automotive industry standards and regulations
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
- Manage the roadmap for development, testing and release of the function for the full lifecycle of the vehicle.
- Coordination and assessment of risks (risk management)
- Stay current with advancements in technology and incorporate them into the development process for future updates
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Fremont, CA. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
What you’ll bring

- Relevant background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive software engineering, especially related to infotainment.
- Exposure to Automotive technologies.
- Exceptional work ethic, strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at one time
- Familiar with different project management and tracking tools
- Deep understanding of the infotainment, connected systems, vehicle electronics and software of a vehicle

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary = $130,000 - $150,000
