• Develop and implement policies, procedures, process and systems for the Customs Brokerage operations that support company objectives and goals
• Oversee key client operations, provide recommendations and key revisions to SOP’s
• Establish and maintain training efforts for department personnel; coach and mentor direct reports to ensure goals are achieved
• Provide effective team and project leadership, including overseeing project completion timeliness, and monitoring project costs
• Manage the P+L, budgets and forecasts of these business units to achieve financial goals for growth and profitability
• Maintain proper staffing and capabilities
• Meet with existing and prospective clients to develop business
• Support Sales, Air, Ocean and Logistics functions in selling Customs Brokerage services by providing subject matter expertise in the sales and tender process
• Collaborate with our other product and vertical leaders on developing integrated solutions for our clients
• Educate the field and business development teams on selling customs brokerage
• Provide solutions and develop case studies to help solve client’s issues in a professional and effective fashion
• Liaise with customs authorities to ensure the company keeps up with all regulatory changes and requirements as they pertain to CHB
• Other duties as assigned
