To help us achieve our ambitious mission, we are now searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Boston.
The Senior Accountant will have significant interaction with members of the Accounting, FP&A, and Sales teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to interpret and apply revenue accounting principles and clearly communicate revenue accounting matters to various audiences including those outside of finance. This role will support the Head of Revenue Accounting with the responsibilities outlined below.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue calculations and account reconciliations
Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team on order-to-cash processes
Contribute to development, rollout, and continuous improvement of policies, processes, and internal control documentation
Manage deliverables for annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors
Assist with testing and implementation of new revenue recognition software
Review new revenue contracts for revenue accounting considerations
Support integration of new revenue streams into existing processes
Support ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
2-4 years of experience in public accounting serving publicly traded clients or a mix of public accounting and public company work experience
Technology, SAAS, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
Experience with SOX 404 and internal controls over financial reporting
Project management including consistently establishing and meeting timelines
Ability to learn and understand financial accounting systems/software
Capable of working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities
