Job Summary
The Head of Wellness at GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is responsible for leading and
overseeing all aspects of wellness programs and services, with a focus on supporting individuals
with diabetes in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This role plays a crucial part in
promoting overall health, wellness, and patient engagement within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wellness Program Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs that are tailored to the unique
needs of diabetes patients. Collaborate with healthcare providers and specialists to
integrate wellness practices into patient care plans.
2. Team Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of wellness professionals, including dietitians, fitness
instructors, and counselors. Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to the
wellness team.
3. Patient Support and Education:
Conduct wellness assessments and provide personalized guidance to patients on nutrition,
exercise, stress management, and lifestyle changes. Offer individual and group education
sessions on diabetes management and prevention.
4. Clinical Integration:
Collaborate with the medical team to ensure alignment between medical treatment and
wellness programs. Monitor patient progress and adjust wellness plans as needed.
5. Community Engagement:
Organize wellness workshops, seminars, and community events related to diabetes
management and prevention. Develop partnerships with local organizations to promote
wellness in the community.
6. Reporting:
Collect and analyze data on patient outcomes and program effectiveness. Prepare regular
reports on wellness program performance and suggest improvements.
7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that wellness programs comply with relevant healthcare regulations and
standards. Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of care.
Requirements
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Nutrition, Health Education,
Wellness Management).
● 5-10 years of experience in wellness program development and management, preferably
with a focus on diabetes care.
● Knowledge of diabetes care, prevention, and management.
● Strong leadership and team management skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Certified Wellness Coach or a relevant coaching certification with knowledge of
healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
● Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
