What do you get if you cross an award winning, innovative, water company and over 300 dedicated team members? Our Design team of course!
Our ambitious and innovative projects (all 5000+ of them) help to combat the challenges in and water infrastructure, for example flooding and water quality. Being one of our inhouse designers means we can meet these challenges, delivering the best for our customers and for our precious water.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
Which is why we are investing over £500million per year into construction projects to improve the services we provide.
As part of this exciting journey! We are recruiting for a Modeller to be based in our Finham (Coventry) office.
Do you have a passion for hydraulics? Would you like to continue your career in a place where you can grow? We have a wide range of wastewater infrastructure work going in our team and we can offer you technical exposure and skills you need to progress your career.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
In this role you`ll create and review hydraulic solutions for Wastewater Infrastructure assets for Severn Trent Water that meet Severn Trent Water’s design standards through manipulation and analysis of hydraulic models. These risks that require solutions will typically include sewer flooding, catchment growth, Water Framework Directive / CSO performance and Sewage pumping station performance.
You will be supported by engineers and senior modellers to enable the installation or replacement of key asset infrastructure being involved in projects from project inception right through optioneering, outline and detailed design straight into construction.
We will provide you with all the guidance to build upon your existing hydraulic knowledge to provide design efficiencies across our Wastewater Infrastructure programme.
You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right solution is developed and create relationships with our supply chain so that our construction activities have minimal impact to our customers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Of course it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.
And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.
Ideally you will have some experience using hydraulic software (but not essential!) and basic MS Office skills.
We do more, because we care.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
It’s not just a job you’ll get here, you’ll get a career too. We have a range of benefits that reward and recognise great work and award-winning training to ensure you reach your potential.
