Hello. We’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful. And we’re pretty keen on people, too.
24 hours a day, 365 (sometimes 366) days a year we serve 4.8 million households and business across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank, each toilet flushed is only possible because of the 7,000 brilliant team members working across our patch.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Do you take pride in your ability to plan? Are you able to liaise with multiple stakeholders at a time and thrive under pressure, particularly in dynamic and changing environments?
If so, we’re looking for a Workflow Management Technician to join our Workforce Planning and Optimisation team in Pride Park, Derby.
You’ll ensure that all activity required to effectively execute operations & maintenance on our asset base, is in place and to the right quality.
You’ll have a good understanding of site statuses and impacts on process and availability of field resource to make sure that work goes ahead at the correct time, and right first time.
In this role, you’ll work with both our planning function and our operational colleagues to ensure that work can be delivered. To achieve this, you’ll make sure that the right logistics, information and asset health information are in place, working across the supply chain, field teams and the wider Severn Trent business.
Key responsibilities in this role include building and maintaining a rolling 21-day detailed resource plan for operational field workers, processing rejected and suspended work and using feedback to build long term plans.
You’ll be based in Pride Park, Derby but there will be some travel across our region to meet our operational colleagues. Your working week will be Monday-Friday and we’re flexible on your working hours whether it be 07:30-15:30, 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Your stakeholder engagement skills will come to life in this role so we need someone who can build valuable relationships, can adapt their communication style and can negotiate and influence others.
You’ll love solving problems and have the ability to prioritise.
Having a driving licence and the ability to plan and organise your own work is essential as part of this role.
If you have experience of using SAP & CLICK systems, that’s a bonus as you’ll be using these systems to plan, rebuild and release work for the field teams. Don’t worry if not though, we’ll train you to work these systems.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who has worked previously in a planning / scheduling role and who already has great knowledge of production operations.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
