EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Land and Planning team have an excellent opportunity to join as our new Land and Planning Manager.
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Property and SROs, and be accountable for ensuring the appropriate technical land, planning and property inputs to inform business strategies and deliver value for our customers.
Additionally, you’ll develop policy and approve transactions and directly affect how Severn Trent Water/Hafren Dyfrdwy to meet its regulatory and legislative responsibilities. You’ll have direct control of a budget of around £20m and influence capital programmes and operational spend in waste and water involving circa £1bn. You’ll also shape and drive change around how we manage and drive value from our property and land holdings.
Some of your key accountabilities will be:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re seeking our Land and Planning Manager to be responsible for the overall risk and performance position of the asset base to support the identification of need for targeted intervention. This will include Treasury accountability and driving reuse of our retained assets while driving out waste from the value chain.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have significant experience in property matters, including management, value creation and creating cases for investment, acting as a project sponsor. You’ll also have experience of managing budgets, informing investment decisions and a proven track record of senior level influencing and stakeholder management across a broad range of business activities.
You’ll also have operational experience managing assets and people and have excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical customers.
As travel is required, you’ll also have to hold a full U.K license.
