Key Accountabilities
The Distribution Staker classification requires that an employee shall be able to perform all of the following described duties:
- Use pipe locating equipment accurately to locate and mark gas and electric services and main lines
- Receive and respond to request for emergency staking request
- Conduct Pipeline Patrols
- Test and calibrate locating equipment
- Screen Miss Dig Tickets
- Repair meter conditions except buried valves
- Change Dial Glass
- Meter Reading
- Winter Survey
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must complete the prescribed course of instruction and pass a subsequent examination of the duties within this classification.
- Must obtain and maintain any required licenses to perform the duties under this classification.
- Must demonstrate the ability to accurately read and interpret all gas and electric maps.
- Must demonstrate the physical ability to perform the duties within the classification.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, and work overtime when and where it Is assigned.
