Inventory Specialist - 6 Month Contract

Your Day-to-Day:
Summary
Supports Plant operations, by ensuring critical spare parts and services are purchased and delivered on time, in an efficient manner.
Primary Duties:
Follows all procedures, in the Safe Manual procedures.
Reviews purchase requisitions for accuracy, including supplier, quantity, price, and cost center/general ledger account coding.
Creates and tracks purchase orders.
For key purchases, manage requests for proposal (RFP), bid evaluation, and vendor selection processes; as well as negotiate key contract terms (e.g., specifications, price, quantity, shipping, terms conditions (T&C's).
Ensure that all purchasing activities are handled, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Maintain good vendor relations.
Receive items into inventory upon arrival at the Plant, which includes verifying items received, with shipping documents and purchase orders.
Maintain inventory recordkeeping, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Maintain inventory levels, within minimum/maximum specifications.
Support Administrative Manager, with monthly inventory reconciliations; as well as with year-end inventory counts.
Support other inventory-related projects, as required by Plant Manager and/or Administrative Manager.
Maintain an orderly and safe warehouse, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Prepare all items for shipping from the Plant; including shipping instructions, packaging and required regulatory reporting.
