The Manager of Technology Marketing is responsible for amplifying the technology bricks and the R&D progress made internally and externally. This role will support external funding submittals and proposals including partnership initiatives while promoting a technical and innovative culture within Westinghouse.
Your Day to Day:
Promote Westinghouse capabilities using a variety of different mediums to gain support for external funding and key partnerships.
Draft and create internal and external marketing tools for various channels to build a strong technology marketing brand for Westinghous
Serve as a storyteller for Westinghouse Technology to help build an innovative and entrepreneurial culture across Westinghouse. Author periodic reports on progress done in R&D and Innovation projects.
In alignment with Corporate Communications co-develop internal marketing campaigns, programs, and events to keep the Business Units, GOS (Global Operation Services), Global Markets, and the WEC Leadership Team apprised of key initiatives and contributions to drive innovation at Westinghouse.
Partner with the communications team to ensure alignment with organizational communications guidelines and best practices and be the point of contact to government affairs teams in topics related to technology, R&D and innovation and external funding.
Provide ongoing marketing counsel, focusing on external key stakeholders to include media, customers, community in alignment with corporate communications
Coordinate relevant technical outreach to support external funding efforts
Support WEC D&I and business units and facilitate the preparation of external research funding applications
To support exploring and develop funding opportunities from a range of external funding sources, develop write funding applications that support WEC external funding objectives
Technology Marking tasks are across the full end-to-end process for funded projects including writing compelling cases to support fundings bids, developing meaningful relationships with funding operations and the writing of internal and external reports to grant funders and internal Bus and other WEC partners or stakeholders
Who You Are:
Bachelors required.
At least 10 years of experience in internal communication and or external marketing role
Strong business leadership, executive communication, negotiation, and analytics skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
Ability to digest complex information and topics and communicate them effectively to a broad audience.
Able to work effectively and independently and at speed across functional and geographic groups.
Experience with business case development, pitch decks, product/market fit, and other innovation concepts.
Ability to work across organizational boundaries, comfort operating with assumed authority as opposed to organizational authority.
Experience in the technology industry and for a large, global organization is highly desirable, and knowledge and Experience in the nuclear or energy industries is a plus.
Personal flexibility to work virtually, sometimes in the office, and travel if required.
Willingness to participate in meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones.
