Responsible for performing the complex set of activities associated with analyzing, summarizing and reporting financial results. Applies extensive technical accounting knowledge to coordinate financial reporting results for a rapidly changing and specialized business area. Implements new financial reporting standards and ensures reporting is in accordance with GAAP, SEC and other regulatory guidelines. Provides analysis and presentation data to support monthly actual-to-budget variance explanations. Interacts with multiple business units to reconcile earnings variances and mark to market changes, and prepare quarterly forecasts. Coordinates development of the budget and financial forecasts. Works with senior management to develop and monitor business unit goals and objectives. Perform accounting due diligence and evaluation of acquisitions as required.
7-8+ years of experience financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices, energy trading industry, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, FERC and SEC accounting. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.

-Knowledge and experience in financial planning and analysis
-Experience in implementing new accounting standards
-Excellent leadership, organization and interpersonal skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Excellent analytical skills
-Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused in a large organization
-Excellent ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines
-Extensive knowledge of Excel, macros, Powerpoint and SAP, EMMA, NUCLEUS
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
