SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Associate will process the disbursement cycle for all US and CA entities. This position is also will manage payment cycles, provide efficient client service and maintaining vendor master data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service, with high volume payment runs including foreign wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor master data by entering and updating vendor payment information.
• Responsible for the clearing accounts with regards to payment related entries.  This process reconciles posted payments against bank entries, which relates back to payment resolution.
• Responsible the annual 1099-MISC reporting.  This involves running reports in SAP, verifying data in the reports, transferring data to 1099-MISC forms, and preparing 1099-MISC forms for disbursement, and resolution of the CP-2100A notices from the IRS with regards to 1099-MISC reporting discrepancies.
• Problem resolution dealing with internal and external vendors by responding to all issues in a timely manner.
• Must pay high attention to detail to ensure accuracy with vendor payments.
• Escalate any critical issues that requires management attention.
• Ensures adherence to all corporate policies and procedures -  improves quality of results by recommending improvement or changes.
• Other duties as they are assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate must hold a Bachelors in Business Degree.
• Prefer experience and knowledge in SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum five years’ experience working in an accounts payable function is preferred.
