Cargill’s global Cocoa and Chocolate business connects our deep cocoa knowledge with our broad food ingredient expertise, managing our supply chain from sourcing the beans at origin up to delivering our cocoa and chocolate products to our customers in the confectionery, biscuit, bakery and dairy industries.
This position entails planning, scheduling, and job kitting for weekly engineering works. These tasks will be completed using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which is currently Maximo with an upcoming transition to SAP. Other tasks will be controlling the material flow, inventory, and maintenance stores. The candidate will be expected to work closely with all departments to ensure an appropriate schedule is produced each week and that all inventory levels of stocked parts are addressed on the CMMS. It is expected that the candidate will present the weekly schedule to the teams across the site on a weekly basis.
The role is a permanent, full time position Monday-Friday based at the York production site.
• To be responsible for planning & scheduling engineering tasks as well as job kitting
• To have a good understand of P&ID drawings to assist with planning and scheduling
• To perform site inductions when required
• To complete permits to work when required and assist with the control of contractors on site
• To be responsible for supply of inventory parts and make corresponding inventory adjustments in the CMMS system
• Maintain general food safe and plant safe housekeeping of the maintenance stores
• To perform clerical tasks, including, receiving purchasing orders for stock and maintenance use and ensuring that they are accurate and ready for payment
• To collaborate with purchasing colleagues, and maintenance supervisors to review current stock and obsolete stock to ensure a consistently relevant and useful shelf stock
• To continuously control stock, reviewing necessary adjustments with maintenance supervisor for approval
• To initiate the procurement of materials, special tools and unique items required in the works orders using relevant maintenance programs and database tools or as requested
• To handle the goods in and out for site, along with organising of deliveries and couriers
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• A Technical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/ NVQ) and or Secondary education level
• Related work experience
• Knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Maximo/ SAP preferred
Preferred Qualifications
• Fork Lift trained
